If you are installing a new fiberglass gasket in your stove you will probably need this cement from Rutland. It is specially formulated to withstand temperatures as high as 2000° F after it is heat cured. It will also adhere beautifully to steel and to cast iron. It is black, has a smooth texture and comes in a squeeze tube for ease of application. Excess cement cleans up with water. The dry time is only one hour and it should be heat-cured at 500° F. One tube will provide 29 linear feet of 1/8″ bead.
